Concept Art

I decided to go down the Monster route, as i have always loved creating monsters and creatures because its something I'm passionate about. Backstory: This character is called "The Nightmare". He absorbs the fear around him and becomes more powerful. He preys on what he refers to as "The Weak". He stalks people with silence & ambience, only striking when they know it's already over. I got this idea from a previous project called "The DeathRake" about and evil corrupted robot that hunted down an entire crew on a ship. The Nightmare is fully inspired by that previous character. I'm happy with how he turned out. 

 

This is the side profile for the character. It's simple, but is quite helpful when it comes to modelling the character out!! 
The one after (The Page tools were being weird so i have to do these together) is the prop. It's the Orb of Fear, which is what gives The Nightmare it's power. The Orb of fear can switch between The Nightmare's head and it's chest holes. However those it affects cannot see it, making things worse for it's victim. 
The Environment is the HellFire Pits, the very place the Nightmare was created. It is also the place it calls home.
